This beautiful stunning photograph of the Ducati 450s Scrambler motorbike was just one member of the Ducati family, they were collectively known as the Ducati singles which were single cyclinder motorcycles, made by Ducati from 1950 to 1974. Chief Engineer Fabio Taglioni developed a desmodric valve system in these years, a system that opens and closes the valves using the camshaft, without the need for valve springs. This valve system has become a trademark feature of Ducati motorcycles. In January, 1968, Ducati announced plans to build and market the 450 cc Mark 3D. The D was for Desmodromic. Early in 1969 the long-awaited Desmo production machine began appearing. The Desmo design in the new engine, had all four closing and opening lobes mounted on the same shaft, similar to the arrangement used in the late fifties W196 Mercedes-Benz Formula 1 cars. This beautiful stunning photograph of the Ducati 750S Sport, an exceedingly rare motorcycle that sits squarely between its tow more famous siblings - the Ducati 750GT and the Ducati 750 Super Sport (SS). Put simply the Ducati 750 sport (also known as the 750S) was a higher performance version of the slightly more consumer-friendly version the 750GT.

the 750 Sport is slightly more powerful than the GT and it could be ordered with a half fairing and twin front disc brakes if required - making it a popular choice for private racers in Europe in the early 1970's. This stunning photograph was taken by James Mann.

This beautiful stunning photograph of the Ducati 750SS or SuperSport and SS are a series of air-cooled four stroke desmodromic 2-valve 90 degree V-twin motorcycles made by Ducati since 1988. A limited edition SuperSport called the SuperLight was sold in 1992. The name harked back to the round case 1973 Ducati 750 Super Sport, and the 1975 square case 750 and 900 Super Sport. The appellation 'SS' was applied only to the later belt drive (Pantah) based models. This stunning photograph of the 750SS was taken by James Mann.

This beautiful stunning photograph of the Ducati 998R , was a successor to the Ducati 996 and the final variation on the Ducati 916, was produced in various models from 2002 to 2004. The new Testastretta engine shared many similarities with the previous Desmoquattro engine in the 996, although it was completely new from the crankshaft up.
